The HRCAA publishes a full colour high-quality QUARTERLY journal, "The Australian Hornby Collector" as part of the membership subscription.

Notices of forthcoming meetings and events are advertised in the journal.

Reports of monthly meetings from all States & the ACT with photographs of members' layouts and collections.

Informative articles that give a better insight into the history and development of models collected.
Meetings
-
Meetings are held periodically in all Australian States & the ACT.
-
Typically monthly on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon at selected venues.
-
The meetings regularly include displays and/or model layouts.
Auctions
-
HRCAA auctions are for members only and are a great way for members to enhance their own collections and dispose of surplus items.

They are usually held in Sydney, Melbourne and the AGM host city.

A range of collectable model trains, accessories, books and other items is sold and there are always a few bargains to be had.

Anything from about 200 to 400 lots are on offer, submitted for sale by HRCAA members. A small vendor's commission goes towards HRCAA funds. There is no buyer's premium payable.
AGM
-
The HRCAA Annual General Meeting is a national event.
-
It is held in a different town or city each September or October.
-
It occupies a full weekend and is well attended by HRCAA members and families.

Activities include layout visits, an annual dinner, the AGM at which office-bearers are installed for the following year, and a day-long auction.
Committee
-
The HRCAA has a committee of 20 members who meet three times a year, comprised of President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Editor, Membership Secretary, & two representatives per State and ACT who organise monthly meetings & represent general members.
