The QLD Branch of the HRCAA are looking forward to being your hosts at the AGM in Brisbane on October 17-20th, 2025. Queensland members are looking after the meetings, layout visits, organising the conference, auction and souvenirs.

The AGM is to be held at the Kedron-Wavell Services Club, at 21 Kittyhawk Drive, Chermside QLD 4032.

We have booked the upstairs meeting and conference rooms for the weekend meetings and auction. A lift is available. 

‘Meet and Greet’

 

6 for 6.30pm on Friday evening will be light refreshments/canapes, with a cash bar operating. Casual seating. 

Annual General Meeting

 

Held in the VC Suite at 9.30 am on Saturday 18th. The souvenirs will be distributed at the close of AGM business. Additionally, a morning tea will be served following the conclusion of the AGM.

Layout visits

 

11am till 4pm, Saturday after the AGM concludes. At this stage, 5 layouts have been arranged that will be displayed at the venue itself, 2 of which are O gauge and 3 Dublo. (others may be added). Layout visits have been arranged with several local members as well. Directions and maps will be provided in the welcome pack, tea and coffee will be available at each layout.

AGM Dinner

 

Saturday 18th 6.30pm for 7pm, in the VC Suite will be a 2-course seated meal. Each table can seat 8. Tea and coffee will be available, a cash bar will also operate. 

AGM Auction

The Auction starts at 10.45am Sunday 19th, and will be held in the VC Suite, lift access available, access for the drop-off of lots and sales table items will be available from 8.15am. Lot viewing and sales table sales from 8.45am. Tea and Coffee will be available, and a sandwich lunch provided. Only members may bid and auction access is only available to those registered, no registrations on the day. Please see Auction Notice for details.

 

Tour parallel event to Auction. Sunday 19th Leaving the Kedron Wavell RSL at 10:00AM, members will be able to drive themselves north west to the historic town of Dayboro where there are several antiques shops and art galleries that may be of interest. Lunch at the nearby Ocean View Estates winery is recommended.

Sunshine Coast Layout Tour

 

Scheduled for Monday 20th. Members will leave the RSL at 10AM, and will drive northwards towards Caboolture, where they will have the opportunity to view a large and expansive Hornby Dublo layout. Following this, members will then drive onwards to the Sunshine Coast, where tables will be booked for lunch at the Caloundra Powerboat Club. After lunch, members will tour a large 0-gauge layout, and potentially another smaller layout, and return to Brisbane in the late afternoon
